Volunteers must be 16 years or older, and will be cross trained to fulfill any of the following tasks (listed in order of priority) as needed:

Looking to complete your community service hours at the Rail Yards Market? Sign up and help us keep the market welcoming, clean, and running smoothly for thousands of visitors. The market is open from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, but your volunteer shift starts at 11:00 AM.

Volunteer Roles: 

Volunteer Shift: 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Please arrive right at 11:00 AM for a short volunteer orientation before starting your assigned role.

Important: Bring your citation paperwork or a photo of it so we can confirm your community service hours.

All ages, backgrounds, and abilities are welcome.

You will receive a detailed orientation email the Thursday before your shift so you feel ready and supported.

Ready to Serve?

To sign up, select Respond and choose the date you'd like to volunteer. We look forward to serving alongside you and making a meaningful difference together!

Volunteers will help with general organization and facility support at NMBLC, including cleaning and organizing storage areas, sorting and labeling supplies, organizing materials, and assisting with light facility tasks.

Volunteers may also help with general administrative support and other easy organizational projects as needed.

The Pamoja 5K will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, and these volunteer opportunities will help NMBLC prepare for race day.

Volunteers will support T-shirt and race bib organization and participant pickup, including sorting and preparing shirts and bibs for distribution.

Volunteers may also help assemble race packets and event materials, organize race-day supplies, prepare materials for participants, and assist with other light administrative and event-preparation tasks as needed.

Clothes Helping Kids needs assistance processing donations. Those performing service will either be assisting driving staff with picking up donations of clothing and household items, loading processed donations for distribution, or by bagging donations at our storage facility. We may not be able to take those who have physical limitations due to the physical nature of the work.

Please contact Jerry when you arrive to be let in to the building 505-315-7761. You must wear closed-toe shoes, dress comfortably as you will be working outside. Please make sure to bring your photo ID and your paperwork. You may also bring snacks and drinks as you will be outside. Please make sure to be on time as community service is done in a different location from the check in location.

We need help cleaning the inside of the building

Support the organization's daily operations by assisting with facility maintenance, outdoor and indoor cleaning, inspections, and other operational responsibilities as needed.

Help us keep Casa Esperanza clean, comfortable, and welcoming for the families who call Casa their home away from home. Volunteers can assist with general cleaning and organizing throughout the house, including our playroom, kitchens, refrigerators, stoves, pantry, sheds, and other shared spaces. Projects may vary depending on our current needs — there’s always something we can use an extra set of hands with!

To include any of the following: Tidying up store from shoppers, hanging, folding and pricing clothing, dusting, vacuuming, breaking down boxes, sweeping store front sidewalk, washing glass doors, wiping down shelves and misc. items of dust, organizing items on shelves, maintaining appearance of hanging and shelved items. 

City of Albuquerque Park Management Division maintains nearly 300 parks in the City of Albuquerque.  Help support our park system by aiding the Park Management Division to remove weeds, clean playgrounds, pick up litter, etc. to make our public green spaces a beautiful enjoyable space for families.  Arrive at the Pino Yards (5501 Pino NE, Building C) to check in by 6:15 - 6:30am and be transported to the appropriate park.  Shift will end at 11am and you will be transported back to Pino Yards.  Please allow yourself time to park and walk to Building C.  Please wear closed-toed, comfortable shoes, jeans and sun protection is a must.  Bring your own water and water bottle.  Restrooms are not available on site, so please plan accordingly.    

Locker #505 is a nonprofit dedicated to making sure K–12 students in the Greater Albuquerque area have access to clean, appropriate school clothing. Students visit our clothing bank to try on and select outfits that help them feel comfortable and confident. We’re looking for volunteers who can help sort donations and support our team with light cleaning duties.

Cleaning inside and outside, depending on the needs of the church.

Warehouse worker will assist with drop-offs, sorting, pricing, organizing, cleaning items, some loading and unloading donation and keeping area clean. Thrift Store stocking, cleaning, customer service and bagging.

We are currently seeking individuals to assist with general upkeep and maintenance at our local cemeteries. This is a great opportunity to complete your required hours in a respectful and meaningful environment while giving back to the community.

Tasks may include outdoor work, cleaning, trash, grounds maintenance, and assisting staff as needed.  You may work your four hours in between 7:00 am until 12:00 

Dress in clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. You will be standing and/or moving around for the majority of the 4 hour service. Bring water and/or snack if needed. Do NOT bring valuables.

Duties: Wash/Dry/Fold laundry, wash dishes, miscellaneous cleaning and organizing

Please bring your citation number with you. Go to the ADMISSIONS door and ask for kennel supervisor or senior handler. Let them know that you are there to complete community service for a speeding camera citation. They will show you where to go and which tasks need to be completed.

Be sure to check in using this same website when you arrive and check out when you leave so that your 4 hours of service will be added. If you fail to do so, your ticket may be sent to collections.
