The New Mexico Black Leadership Council (NMBLC) is a statewide organization committed to creating a more inclusive and thriving New Mexico.
We bring together community members, leaders, organizations, and partners to build connections, strengthen communities, and create opportunities for people to thrive. Our work is rooted in collaboration, service, leadership, and the belief that meaningful change happens when communities have the resources, relationships, and opportunities they need to succeed.
At NMBLC, we believe everyone has something valuable to contribute. Our volunteers are an important part of our community, helping us expand our reach and turn our mission into action across New Mexico.
What We Do
The New Mexico Black Leadership Council (NMBLC) works to create opportunities, strengthen communities, and improve the well-being of Black New Mexicans and the broader community.
Our work brings people together through community engagement, youth development, education and training, leadership development, advocacy, and access to resources. We also serve as a community hub where individuals, families, organizations, and partners can connect, collaborate, learn, and take action.
Volunteers help make this work possible. Whether supporting community events, assisting with youth programs, helping behind the scenes, sharing professional skills, or connecting people to resources, volunteers play an important role in extending our reach and strengthening our impact.
Together, we turn community connection into community action.
