Floater volunteers play a key role in helping the Juneteenth 2026 Celebration run smoothly by providing support wherever it is needed most throughout the event. Responsibilities may include assisting vendors, helping with guest questions, delivering supplies, supporting activity areas, checking on volunteer stations, and stepping in to help staff with unexpected needs as they arise. This role is perfect for adaptable, energetic volunteers who enjoy variety and are comfortable jumping into different tasks throughout the day. A positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to help wherever needed are essential for this position!
Please be prepared to work outdoors in warm or hot weather conditions. Volunteers are encouraged to bring a hat, umbrella, water, sunblock, and light layers or coverage in case of inclement weather. Comfortable footwear is recommended as you will be on your feet for extended periods.
