Rail Yards Market is a certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2014 by volunteers and neighborhood residents. Located at the historic Albuquerque Rail Yards in the Barelas neighborhood, our mission is to celebrate and promote the diverse cuisine, culture, art, and agricultural traditions of Albuquerque and New Mexico. We are committed to equity, accessibility, inclusion, and community development by creating a welcoming space where all people can participate, connect, and thrive. Our vision is a resilient local economy where historic communities are strengthened and everyone is enriched through food, art, education, and culture.
What We Do
Rail Yards Market is Albuquerque's largest farmers market and a nonprofit community marketplace featuring more than 200 local farm, food, art, and wellness vendors throughout the season. Every Sunday, we bring together farmers, food producers, artists, musicians, educators, and community organizations in a vibrant and welcoming space. Through food, art, education, music, and cultural programming, we support local entrepreneurs, promote food access, preserve New Mexico traditions, and create opportunities for community connection.
